Hi! I am Maggie Brockman, a director, devisor, and stage manager based in NYC.
Born and raised in North Texas, I was often found running around outside collecting bugs and bones, or exploring haunted areas. I spent my favorite moments camping in the middle of nowhere, taking care of snakes or tarantulas, and watching a few too many horror movies.
Theater found my heart quite quickly and unexpectedly. I got put into a technical theater class in 7th grade, which I begged the school to take me out of. Before long, I had made my first set designs and was working backstage on my first shows. I got my taste of stage management and quickly found out there would never be another career for me other than in the theater.
Just two years later, I was determined to be a director. Opportunities after another, I found myself in devised productions, directing positions, and then in college.
I am in my senior year at Pace University, soon to be graduating with a BA in Directing and minors in Stage Management and Psychology.
Never letting my younger self leave my side, I have found my passion in creating art surrounding the uncomfortable and unknown. All of the oddities and curiosities speak to me, and I find their stories the most exciting to tell.
If this sounds like your vibe, reach out! I would love to find more freaks like me :)
